A Warmer Fall Look

Howdy Y’all!

Fall is in full swing but those 90 degree days are still making an appearance. Fall in the south is so finicky and the warmer weather can really put a damper on my autumn style. So, I’ve been sporting looks that can easily be paired with jackets in the cooler evening and mornings and that are cool enough for the afternoon heat.

Honestly living in Austin, I wear these type of sandals 70% of the year. They go with EVERYTHING and they’re cool enough when it’s too hot for booties. I’ve been LOVING these wide leg cut off jeans for this time of year. They’re super high waisted (which I love) and look perfect paired with heels. I’m excited to wear these with a tucked in sweater or turtleneck in the cooler months. Lastly, I can’t get enough tops like this. You should know by now I’m a total sucker for a…

Summer to Fall Transition Dress

Fall foliage, pumpkins, sweaters, soups and sweet treats are just a few of my favorite things about Autumn! And although it may not be quite time to break out the leggings and jackets, there are some really great pieces to bridge you from summer to fall, like this dress!

Y’ALL

I’ve been completely obsessed with the Rhode Resort Ella Dress and have been waiting to pull the trigger until I found the right color that suits me best. Each season, they bring back this style dress in new colors and prints and every season I find myself loving all of them! This olive color is so…

Cream Faux Leather Dress

I’ve never been much of a Target shopper (I’m obsessed with their home section though) BUT I was completely blown away when I walked past their ladies clothing department the other day. I got this leather (obviously fake) dress and a really cute simple black top. I was super surprised to find out the quality was WAY better than what I anticipated. I am all for affordable fast fashion but I get turned off when the quality is poor and I end up tossing whatever $30 item I bought after wearing it twice. You could have told me this dress was $195 and I would have bought it!! The fabric isn’t itchy or

Leopard Silk Skirt & Sweater

The holidays are almost in full swing and I couldn’t be more excited. I am in full on bake mode and can’t wait to indulge in all the sides, drinks and desserts Thanksgiving has to offer. I’ll have a little bit of ham or turkey but let’s get real, the best part is all the sides, pies, and sweet treats! Although I’m cramming in as many spin classes as possible before this weekend and really the holidays in general, I’m anticipating feeling a little puffy after eating and drinking to my hearts content. So, I’m looking forward to being extra comfortable and giving myself some room to relax. This outfit is my ultimate…

Ladylike Attire

In honor of probably my most favorite week of the year, Thanksgiving, and also Black Friday/Small Business Saturday/Cyber Monday, I’m posting one of my favorite dresses I got last year on major sale. Every year I gear up and really prepare to score some major discounts on items I’ve wanted all season long and pieces I know will stay in style for years to come. This is the absolute best time to take advantage of temporary markdowns and go to town (or online) shopping! I usually aim to find items that I am more hesitant to buy full price and that I can wear for multiple seasons. I want classic pieces that I can

White Lace Top & Denim

If you know me you know I can never have enough white tops. Seriously. They are my go-to purchase whenever I’m torn between a few items. Why? Because living in Texas they are literally in style all year round. This top is one of my favorites. It’s timeless but also girly. I love pairing it with distressed jeans but it would also be super cute with a black leather skirt or leather pants with a leather jacket. I love pairing girly pieces with edgey items to rough up the look a little bit. But of course, I love a good cowhide bag with any white and denim outfit. I think this has become my staple look!

Silk Skirt & Sweater

Let me introduce you to your new favorite fall/winter outfit! I have been wearing this look on repeat lately because it is SO comfortable and SO easy to wear. It’s one of those outfits you find yourself wearing at your house long after you’ve gotten home because you feel like you’re wearing PJs. I got this skirt last year on sale but it’s still available! If you haven’t noticed by now, I love investing in classic pieces I can get a lot of wear out of and that are always in season. This skirt is a must have!

Chunky Knits & Leopard Flats

Sweater season is in full swing and I couldn’t be happier. Getting dressed in the fall is always so easy, and best of all, COMFORTABLE. I love throwing on some high waisted leggings or stretchy jeans, chunky sweater, and a pair of boots or flats. You can catch me in this outfit any day of the week that I need to get dressed fast and run out the door. I’ve found that Free People makes some of the most comfortable sweaters at an affordable price point. Of course there are a lot of $40 - $60 (or even lower than that) sweaters out there but nothing is worse than

White Button Blouse & Jeans

This week has flown by! It’s been cold and rainy all week (which I’ve loved) but I’m definitely craving some sunshine now. I shot this look a couple weeks ago and have worn this outfit multiple times since. I’m obsessed with this top and the button detailing! It should be no surprise by now that I love white tops. I have a serious collection in my closet! But, they are all different and I really don’t feel like I’ll ever have enough. They are SO easy and versatile. And in Austin, they are absolutely in season all year long. A good white top and blue jeans are a blank canvas for whatever accessories you feel like

Rust Polka Dot Dress

Fall finally feels like it’s in full swing now after we got our first cold front in Austin this week! I’m pulling out all my favorite sweaters, booties and fall recipes for the season. I shot this dress a few weeks ago when we were still having 80-90 degree weather but it is still one of my absolute favorite new fall dresses! I love it paired with white slip ons but also think a really great white or brown bootie and jean jacket would be cute. The best part about this dress is it’s under…

On the Hunt - Fall Booties

It’s bootie season and I couldn’t be more excited! When hunting for booties, I usually look for 3 different colors each season - white, black and brown. Depending on my current bootie assortment, I will either save, invest or splurge. The older I’ve gotten, I’ve come to really love investing in my shoes. You can always tell the difference in higher quality shoes that last season after season. However, sometimes I want a quick purchase under $100. And sometimes I…

White Button Up & Motto Leggings

his white top is one of my new favorites! I personally believe you can’t ever have enough white shirts. They’re so versatile and appropriate all year around. I specifically love this one because it’s slightly longer and perfect when paired with leggings. Speaking of leggings…these are my FAVORITE. A girlfriend recommended these to me and I am completely sold! Honestly, I will wear these 5 out of the

All Black and Ruffles

I can’t believe it’s already the last weekend in September. Time is flying! I always want to slow this season down and just enjoy it. The first “cold front” has come through this week in Austin and there is a slight (very slight) chill in the air. When in doubt, wear all black. Am I right? When I don’t know what to put on and I feel like I don’t have anything to wear, I just throw on an all black look. I’m OBSESSED with this ruffle top I purchased at a local boutique. I love it tucked in or worn out with some black heels.

Fall Florals

Everyone has to have a section in their closet fully dedicated to ‘fun’ tops. You don’t wear them super often because they’re more recognizable, and when you do, you want it to be for a fun party or Friday night when you might snap a pic. (Is this just me…?) Either way I love a good fun blouse! I purchased this top a few weeks ago at one of my favorite local boutiques, Estilo. It’s under $100 and it is SO comfortable. It’s really nice fabric that hugs you in all the right ways. I actually got…

Long Sleeve Cotton Top & Jeans

t’s officially fall and I am SO EXCITED!! My absolute favorite time of year. September/October in Austin is still pretty warm so I’m not quite ready to break out all my sweaters just yet. Long sleeve cotton tops and jeans are more reasonable this time of year. This top is one of my new favorites. It’s under $40 and it’s really comfortable and flattering because of the gathering at the waist. My biggest thing about buying less expensive/fast fashion clothes is
