Spotlight on agua by agua bendita

You know when you can spot a dress and instantly know who makes it? In my opinion, that’s what sets apart a great designer from a good one. Agua by Agua Bendita is a Columbian label who uses local artisans to create dresses and swimwear that are known for their embroidered and playful prints. I’ve been in love with this brand for quite some time but their dresses are more of an investment and not quite an impulse purchase. Although the prices can be steep, the quality and design warrant the price point. The fit and fabric is extremely flattering and comfortable. When it comes to splurging on items in your wardrobe, I love to choose pieces that just make me happy everytime I see them hanging in my closet and these dresses do just that. Here are a some of my favorite styles.

Botanicals.jpg

botanicals for the home

For quite some time I’ve had a love for all things floral, especially when it comes to home decor. To me, botanicals create an extension of the outdoors inside the home and add to an overall calm and serene atmosphere. I’ve always loved nature and over the years I’ve looked for florals, wildflowers or even leaves to add elements of the outdoors inside our home. The contrast of florals with wicker or rattan elements pair so nicely together but I also especially love florals layered on top or next to each other for more of a bold statement. There is something bright and happy about all of the items pictured above that are sure to add beauty in any space.

Home Bamboo.jpg

Bamboo, Rattan, Burlewood!

Accessories for the home are just like earrings or handbags when putting together an outfit. They take a dull or average look and add interest and character! Lately I’ve been obsessed with bamboo, rattan and burl wood accents. I feel like they add a lot of warmth and charm in living rooms, bedrooms or any other nook in the house! These pieces and materials are also extremely neutral and transitional. If you’re not into a lot of color, or you love color and fun prints, these accents will complement any room and add a little fun to your space!

Summer to Fall, Spring to Summer, Transition Dress

Fall foliage, pumpkins, sweaters, soups and sweet treats are just a few of my favorite things about Autumn! And although it may not be quite time to break out the leggings and jackets, there are some really great pieces to bridge you from summer to fall, like this dress!

Y’ALL

I’ve been completely obsessed with the Rhode Resort Ella Dress and have been waiting to pull the trigger until I found the right color that suits me best. Each season, they bring back this style dress in new colors and prints and every season I find myself loving all of them! This olive color is so beautiful in person and super transitional and appropriate for all seasons of the year.

Here’s what I love about this dress…

This silhouette is flattering on every shape and size. The belt is removable so you have the choice to sinch your waist or wear loose. Even without the belt, the cut of the dress is hourglass so there’s still lots of shape! I also love the high neck and balloon sleeves. The sleeves are elastic so you can wear them long or short depending on the weather.
