A Seasonless Cocktail Dress

We all have staple dresses in our closet that we pull out season over season to wear to weddings, showers and parties. When I’m shopping for cocktail dresses and investing in items I plan to have for a few years, I look for classic silhouettes and flattering materials. I love a good statement party dress with lots of color, but I always gravitate to more timeless looks that I can change up with my accessories.

I found this dress 2017 when I was looking for outfits to wear to my bridal parties. I wore it for my bridesmaids lunch the day before my wedding and have loved it ever since! The material feels so soft and also has some weight and thickness to it so you feel nicely tucked in. I love a good cape dress because it’s a subtle statement that’s also super flattering.

Needless to say, I’ve continued to pull out this dress for cocktail parties or functions when I want to look timeless and feel pretty. In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a classic conservative dress that you can complement with statement accessories.
