Honey Crisp Apple Cider Spritzer
It’s my most favorite time of year! There is nothing like crisp fall air, sweaters and scarves, and yellow and orange trees that make you want to sit outside and enjoy a cocktail with your loved one. This weekend I was in the mood to make a yummy fall cocktail that I could sip outside and enjoy the sunny 70 degree weather. When I started looking for recipes, I found that most of them seemed like a lot of work. And I don’t know about you, but when I’m in the mood to sit outside and soak up the outdoors, I don’t generally want to slave away in the kitchen. Also, if I’m going to have a drink in the afternoon, I typically want something lighter so that I don’t fall asleep mid day… So, I created this little concoction! Super easy but very festive. I will definitely be making this drink next time we have some friends over. Most importantly, it’s delicious!
RECIPE
Ingredients
Half a champagne coupe or flute of honey crisp apple cider
Half a champagne coupe or flute of prosecco or champagne
Splash of bourbon or brandy (optional)
Sugar
Cinnamon
A few slices of a honey crisp apple
Directions
Mix sugar and cinnamon on a plate. Wet the rim of your champagne coupe or flute and dip it in the sugar and cinnamon mixture. Fill up half the glass with honey crisp apple cider and the other half with prosecco or champagne. Add a splash of bourbon or brandy for a little kick. Top with a slice of honey crisp apple on the rim!
What are some of your favorite fall cocktails? I’m definitely on the hunt for some new seasonal cocktail recipes!
