Slides & Scarves

Good morning!

Barrett and I just got back from a week long vacation/road trip. We decided last minute to tack on a trip to Santa Fe before going to our lake house in West Texas for the Fourth of July. I have to say, it was sooo nice being away for a little over a week. There is something about taking a last minute road trip fairly far away that makes me feel truly disconnected from our everyday routine. There are few things that bring me as much joy as being on the road with Bear and our dog Lucille and getting to plan a itinerary with just us in mind. Sometimes the simple trips are really the ones that leave you recharged and rested.

Lately I've been REALLY into little slides and scarves. I have a rather neutral wardrobe so I find it fun to spice up my outfits with accessories. The thing I love about scarves is you can wear them so many different ways for whatever look you are trying to achieve. Recently, I've been rolling mine and tying them around my neck. And who doesn't love a good slide? They are so easy and usually very comfortable. In Austin, TX slides are in season almost all year around.
